Viktor Gyokeres stormed to the top of the scoring charts in the Uefa Nations League on the final day of the 2024 group stage.
Sweden smashed Azerbaijan 6-0 at the Strawberry Arena to secure first place in C1, with four of those goals coming from the Sporting CP striker.
Gyokeres’ quadruple was a continuation of the sparkling form he has been in this season and sees him finish the campaign with nine goals, eclipsing the next best scorer, Norway’s Erling Haaland.
The Manchester City also netted a treble in their final game as they hammered Kazakhstan 5-0, but he finished two shy of his Nordic nemesis with seven goals from six games in B3.

Răzvan Marin features surprisingly high on the list of top goal scorers after finding the net six times in five appearances for Romania. The midfielder has only scored twice in 11 Serie A games for Cagliari this season.
Cristiano Ronaldo is used to finishing above everyone else on these lists, especially when it comes to international football, but he will have to suffice with joint-fourth after scoring five goals for Portugal.
The former Manchester United star finishes level with Slovenia forward Benjamin Šeško. Like Marin, the RB Leipzig man is finding it easier to score for his country than his club; he has just three goals from 10 Bundesliga appearances.
Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak and Fulham super sub Harry Wilson both ended up in the top ten with four goals each in the Nations League, as did Northern Ireland midfielder Isaac Price. The Standard Liege player hasn’t found the net once this term in the Belgian Pro League!
