Twitter reacts: Everton fans want Silva out after FA Cup exit

Everton were dumped out of the FA Cup by Championship strugglers Millwall this evening, a result which has tipped some Toffees over the edge, with some giving up on Marco Silva.

The Everton faithful went into the 2018/19 season with renewed optimism, after the footballing anti-christ, Sam Allardyce, was replaced by the more forward-thinking Marco Silva.

Backed by Farhad Moshiri’s millions, the Merseyside side did some decent summer business, bringing in Yerry Mina, Andre Gomes and Lucas Digne from Barcelona, to go with the £40 million addition of Richarlison from Silva’s former side, Watford.

The Toffees didn’t have the best of starts to the season, but as with all new managers, Everton fans gave Marco Silva the benefit of the doubt, with the belief that things would get better.

However, things haven’t gotten much better, with the Blues sitting in 11th place in the Premier League, and now being dumped out of the FA Cup by Millwall, the 19th placed Championship side.

Having won just three games in their last 10 outings, it seems as thought though patience has finally worn thin at Goodison Park, with a number of fans taking to twitter to demand #SilvaOut.

These Evertonian’s have even named the managers he would like to see take over from Silva – if he were to be given the boot.

It’s fair to say a few Watford fans are enjoying seeing the Portuguese struggle too…
