Tottenham Hotspur go to Old Trafford on Saturday evening still waiting for a first Premier League win, with Roberto De Zerbi’s side bottom on two points.
Spurs have won five and lost one of their last nine meetings with United (D3), the defeat a 2-0 loss at Old Trafford in February.
Tottenham Hotspur team news
Dejan Kulusevski (knee), Xavi Simons (knee), Wilson Odobert (knee), Mykhaylo Mudryk (ankle) and Pedro Porro (thigh) are out, though De Zerbi said Porro will not miss too many games. James Maddison could return despite a setback that cost him several training days this week.
Micky van de Ven and Jan Paul van Hecke “are available to play”, De Zerbi said, although he will consider the emotional aspect after the birth of Van Hecke’s twins this week. Kulusevski took part in a training match during the break, but he is unlikely to start.
With Porro absent, Archie Gray is expected to fill in at right-back again. Marcos Senesi or Tosin Adarabioyo could be recalled at centre-back if Van Hecke is unavailable, with Van de Ven alongside. Mohammed Kudus is pushing for a first start of the season, but De Zerbi may prefer Savio and Omar Marmoush out wide, with Dominic Solanke leading the line. Conor Gallagher and Sandro Tonali are predicted in midfield with Fernandes, ahead of Antonin Kinsky in goal and with Andrew Robertson at left-back.
Tottenham Hotspur predicted lineup
