Tottenham transfer blow as target edges closer to signing new contract

Tottenham’s hopes of signing Suso have been dealt a blow according to reports in Italy.

Reports claim the former Liverpool winger is in talks over a potential new contract with AC Milan, with his current deal due to expire in 2019.

They claim that his agent has already met with AC Milan officials to discuss a new five year contract and a pay rise following to some impressive displays for the big spending Italians.

Spurs are believed to have been trying to lure the Spaniard back to England after some excellent displays for the Rossonieri. The 23-year-old made 21 appearances for Liverpool, scoring just one goal, before he was eventually sold to AC Milan in 2015 for just €1.3m.

He spent the 2015/16 season on loan at fellow Italian club Genoa before finally making his AC Milan breakthrough last season where he made 36 appearances and scored seven goals.
