Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Erikson has dealt the club a massive blow by sensationally rejecting a new contract offer at the club.
The Danish international, who scored six goals and assisted 13 during Spurs 2015/16 campaign, had turned down the chance of signing a new and improved deal at White Hart Lane.
According to The Sun, the 24-year old currently earns around £30,000-a-week on his deal which has two years left to run.
It is thought that Erikson is keen to remain at the club that finished third in last seasons title race, but wants to be amongst the top earners at the club.
Club captain Hugo Lloris currently is the top earner at the club, with wages of around £80,000-a-week, whilst Erik Lamela earns around £75,000-a-week.
Tottenham are expected to come back with a further improved offer.
