In a surprise move, Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly interested in signing Liverpool player, Mamadou Sakho. Spurs are willing to spend £30m to get the deal done.
For some time now it’s been clear that Mamadou Sakho is on the verge of leaving Liverpool. It was expected that he would likely make his loan at Crystal Palace a permanent move.
Surprisingly though, the Express claim that the Liverpool centre-back has attracted the attention of Tottenham.
With Crystal Palace stumbling over Liverpool’s £30m asking price, Tottenham are prepared to swoop in. Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly prepared to pay the full £30m to snatch Sakho from the hands of their London rivals.
Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish claims the club cannot afford to sign Sakho despite long-term interest in the player according to the Metro.
It appears that Tottenham are in a much healthier financial situation and have Champions League football additionally which would certainly help attract the player.
