Tottenham are considering a move to sign Gent youngster Gift Orban amid Harry Kane’s uncertain future at the club.
Kane has been subject of three rejected bids from Bayern Munich, who are weighing up a fourth offer for the England captain.
Spurs value Kane at around £100m and are awaiting a decision from Bayern on whether the Bundesliga champions will meet their asking price, following talks with Bayern chief executive, Jan-Christian Dreesen.
Should Kane depart before the transfer deadline, the Times are reporting that Spurs will step up their interest in Nigerian forward Orban.
The 21-year-old made a major impact after signing for Gent from Stabæk during the January transfer window, scoring 20 goals in 22 appearances across the second half of the season.
Orban’s haul included a record-breaking Europa League hat-trick against İstanbul Başakşehir, scored within three minutes and 25 seconds to set a new record for the fastest ever hat-trick in UEFA club competition.
Orban is valued at around €30m and has also been watched by scouts from Premier League rivals Manchester United, Chelsea and Fulham.
