Tottenham Hotspur are close to completing the £16million signing of AZ Alkmaar striker Vincent Janssen.
The Netherlands international was the top goalscorer in Hollands Eredivisie last season, bagging 27 goals, a record that has seen a number of top clubs come in for the strikers services.
Janssen was disappointed last week on his return to pre-season training when he learned that Tottenham’s £11million bid for the striker had been rejected, whilst a similar bid from French Champions Paris Saint-Germain was accepted.
However the striker has turned down a move to the Parc des Princes, where the league is a one horse race, and has chosen to join Mauricio Pochettino’s men, after an improved £16million bid was reportedly accepted.
The striker will fly to London to discuss personal terms and complete a medical this week.
