Leicester City have confirmed the arrival of highly rated midfielder Youri Tielemans on loan from Monaco.
The Belgium international moves to the King Power on a loan deal until the end of the season, a deal which sees Portuguese midfielder Adrien Silva move in the opposite direction.
Tielemans moved to Monaco just 18 months ago in a deal worth around £24 million from Belgian side Anderlecht, and he has been a regular starter since moving to the Principality club, making 65 appearances, scoring six goals.
However, the 21-year-old – who has previously been linked with some of European footballs biggest clubs – has been allowed to move to the Premier League, joining up with 2015/16 champions, Leicester City, much to the delight of the midfielder.
“I’m really excited to get going,” Tielemans told LCFC TV
“The Premier League is one of the best leagues in the world and when I was young, I always watched Premier League games. I’m really happy to be here and I’m excited to get started.
“It’s a big family. Everybody is really kind and really good with me. I think it will be really good here.”
Tielemans could make his debut this weekend when Leicester host Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
The deal also sees #lcfc midfielder Adrien Silva join Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco on loan until the end of the current campaign.
