Match Preview

Swansea’s last game was a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace. This marked the Swan’s first win of the season. Swansea currently have one more point than Newcastle, having won four points from the opening three games.

Newcastle also won before the international break beating West Ham 3-0 at home. This saw The Magpie’s pick up their first points of the season.

Team news

Ki, Dyer and Bartley are out injured for Swansea. This sees the Swan’s able to field the same team as in the win against Crystal Palace.

Newcastle have doubts over the fitness of Lejeune and Yedlin. Hopefully Lejeune will be fit as he was impressive at the start of the season. Mbemba, Dummett and Darlow are definitely out for Sunday’s game. Mitrovic is suspended after being charged for violent conduct.

Predicted line-ups

Swansea: Fabianski, Naughton, Fernandez, Mawson, Olsson, Britton, Clucas, Fer, Carroll, Abraham, Ayew

Newcastle: Elliot, Yedlin, Clark, Lascelles, Manquillo, Merino, Shelley, Ritchie, Perez, Atsu, Joselu

Prediction

This is going to be a close game. Swansea may have one more point than Newcastle but Newcastle have a better goal difference and have scored more goals. I predict Newcastle to win 2-1.
