Swansea striker close to Marseille move

Swansea striker Bafetimbi Gomis could complete a move to Ligue 1 club Marseille with a matter of days.

The striker moved to the Liberty Stadium in 2014, scoring 17 goals in his 69 appearances for the club, and could be about to head back to France.

Swansea Coach Alan Davies confirmed to BBC Radio Wales Sport that the striker could move to Marseille within a matter of days:

Something could well be on the horizon.

He’s still contracted to us but you would assume something within the next few days, or weeks certainly, something would happen with Bafe leaving the club.

Gomis’ departure will leave Swansea short of strikers after Alberto Paloschi moved to Atlanta, whilst Portugals Euro 2016 hero Eder has completed a switch to Lille.
