Swansea Chairmam Huw Jenkins has confirmed that the South Wales club are interested in re-signing former Swans midfielder Joe Allen.

Allen moved to Liverpool backin 2012, following former Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers up the road to Merseyside after Swansea’s stunning debut season in the Premier League.

I think it has been well-documented that Joe is going to look at his future when he is finished out at Euro 2016.

Naturally, we are interested in good players like Joe who may be available this summer given that he has a year left on his contract.
Obviously we will keep tabs on his situation and see what happens later in the summer.

The 26-year old has just one year remaining on his current deal at Anfield, and could be available for the Swans to sign for around £10million, £5million less than they sold him for four years ago.
