Swansea City have agreed a fee with Champions League finalists Atletico Madrid in a deal which will smash the clubs transfer record.

The Swans have agreed a £15million fee to bring Atletico striker Borja Baston to the Premier League, with the deal potentially rising to £17million.

The striker, who spent last season on loan at fellow La Liga club Eibar, is travelling to South Wales tonight in order to discuss personal terms and take part in a medical.

The 23-year old will join forces with fellow new signing Fernando Llorente, who arrived at the club on a free transfer last week.

Swansea’s attacking options have been dramatically depeleted this summer, with Eder, Alberto Paloschi and Bafetimbi Gomis all completing transfers around Europe in recent weeks, whilst Andre Ayew completed a £20.5million transfer to West Ham last night.
