Stuttgart CEO Alexander Wehrle has said the club will only sell Nick Woltemade if they receive ‘something truly extraordinary’ from Bayern Munich this summer.
Woltemade has informed Stuttgart of his desire to join Bayern Munich, who saw an opening offer for the player rejected this week. Bayern’s bid was worth €45m (£38.8m) including add-ons and was turned down.

Stuttgart have no desire to sell Woltemade, who is tied down to a long-term contract. The 23-year-old joined the German side from Werder Bremen on a free transfer last summer and scored 17 goals during an impressive debut campaign.
Woltemade enhanced his reputation further this summer, after scoring six times to win the Golden Boot at the u-21 European Championship.
He has informed Stuttgart that he ‘only wants’ Bayern Munich, despite interest from rival clubs.
However, Stuttgart chief Wehrle has said the club will not let Woltemade leave easily. While he refused to rule out a sale, he told Stuttgarter Nachrichten that it would take an offer too good to turn down to part with the forward.
“We are not letting him go. He will also be playing with us next season,” he said.
“Unless Bayern do something truly extraordinary, then we are all professional enough to talk about it.”
Bayern are keen to sign Woltemade to boost their depleted options. Jamal Musiala is facing at least four months out after sustaining a horror injury against Paris Saint-Germain at the Club World Cup.
The German champions have also seen Thomas Muller, Leroy Sane and Mathys Tel depart this summer.
