Spurs star linked with Serie A switch

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder is wanted by Italian giants AC Milan according to reports in Italy.

Dembele has been restricted to just 11 appearances for Tottenham this season thanks to a series of persistent ankle injuries, but despite his fitness issues, he is wanted by recently appointed AC Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Rossoneri are confident that they could lure the Belgian to the San Siro.

Dembele has been a key figure for Spurs since moving from Fulham for £15m back in 2013. He has since made 210 appearances for the North London club and has been instrumental in their relative success in recent years.

However a wealth of midfield options for Mauricio Pochettino coupled with Dembele’s injury issues could see the midfielder being allowed to leave should AC Milan come calling.
