Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on the signing of Kevin Danso from Lens with a medical booked for the defender.
Spurs have agreed a package worth €25m (£20.9m) for the Austria international, who will provided much needed cover at centre-back in the absences of Cristian Romero and Radu Dragusin. The North Londoners turned their attention to Danso after a failed move for AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori.

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Spurs have booked a medical examination for Danso with a full agreement in place.
Danso was a key part of the Lens side that secured Champions League qualification in 2022/23 and was named in the Ligue 1 Team of the Season.
The 26-year-old came through the academy systems at Reading and MK Dons, having moved to Milton Keynes as a child. He left MK Dons as a teenager to sign for FC Augsburg and became the youngest player to make a league appearance in the club’s history.
Danso made six Premier League appearances during a loan spell at Southampton during the 2019/20 campaign.
