Spurs’ matchwinner Foyth says he is learning from his Wolves horror show

Juan Foyth scored the only goal of the game this evening as Spurs won 1-0 at Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

The young Argentinian centre-half was glad to make the headlines for the right reasons today after he was solely responsible for Spurs conceding two penalties against Wolves on his Premier League debut for Spurs last weekend.

Speaking after the game, despite scoring the only goal of the game, Foyth said that he was just happy with the win and insists he is using the Wolves’ experience as something to learn from for the future.

“The most important thing is we played well. The first half was difficult but the most important thing is we win.” Foyth told BT Sport.

“I think the two penalties I conceded against Wolves, I have to learn from. I’ve worked in training but these two penalties helped me with experience.”

Spurs’ win puts them level on points with third-placed Liverpool, with the Merseyside club playing at home to Fulham in the early kick-off on Sunday.

Mauricio Pochettino continues to defy the odds with this Spurs team, even after a summer of inactivity in the transfer market.

The win guarantees Tottenham a top-four spot as we enter the international break.
