Spurs make a move to beat Manchester United to sign Brazilian sensation

Tottenham Hotspur have made a move to sign Bordeaux winger, Malcom, who is also attracting attention from Manchester United according to reports in Brazil.

The 20-year-old moved to Bordeaux from Brazilian side Corinthians last year, and had developed into one of the hottest prospects in European football, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 18 Ligue 1 games so far this season, an impressive return for a winger.

According to Brazilian outlet Esporte, Spurs have made a bid of around £31m in an attempt to try to beat United to the youngsters services, although it is believed that bid has been rejected by the French club, who are determined not to sell in the upcoming transfer window

Manchester United have been linked with making a move for the the youngster, with reports earlier this week that they would make a £33m offer as well as offering to send him back to Bordeaux on loan until the end of the season.

Meanwhile. Bordeaux are though to value the winger at £50m.
