Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic in the summer transfer window.
The Croat has been a target for Premier League clubs in the past, namely Manchester United and, more recently, Arsenal, but neither club could agree a deal with the Serie A outfit.
According to Tuttosport via Football Italia, Spurs could beat their North London rivals to his signature when the transfer window opens up again on July 1.
Mauricio Pochettino supposedly “fell in love” with Perisic after witnessing him play first-hand during their encounters in the group stage of this season’s Champions League.
The Internazionale player could be an ideal fit for Spurs, as Pochettino tends to favour signing hard-working players who can understand his demands from the get-go.
Tottenham, who face Borussia Dortmund tonight in the last 16 of the Champions League, could send one of Moussa Sissoko or Serge Aurier in the other direction in exchange for the 30-year-old.
If the London club do sign Perisic, he will be the first signing they have made in two transfer windows.
