The outstanding form of Wolves full back Matt Doherty has apparently caught the eye of Premier League title hopefuls Tottenham Hotspur.
Doherty has been one of the stand out performers for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side as they have turned some heads in their first season back in the top flight, with the 26-year-old scoring three and assisting four from right back.
The Republic of Ireland international has been a fan favourite at Molineux for some time and the speed at which he has adapted to the Premier League has seen Spurs linked with a move for him.
Wolves will be well aware of the interest and according to the Irish Independent they are preparing a bumper contract offer to ward off any predatory clubs.
Doherty could double his money at the Midlands club and has also been linked with the super agent Jorge Mendes.
As his club’s stocks continues to rise, alongside his own form, it’s appears to be only a matter of time before a big club makes a move for the Irishman, regardless of his contract situation.
