Pochettino hails Spurs’ ‘belief’ ahead of Arsenal clash

Spurs and Arsenal face off in the north-London derby at the Emirates Stadium this Sunday in the Premier League.

Speaking to the media today, Spurs’ boss Mauricio Pochettino discussed the strong character of his team.

“The mentality so far is good, now it’s about delivering the job,” Pochettino told his pre-match press conference.

“We have the belief and that is the most important thing in football and the faith that you can beat any team away from home.”

Spurs were simply brilliant last Saturday evening as they convincingly beat Chelsea 3-1 at Wembley and will be looking to build on that away to Arsenal.

“The squad has that belief, with the right mentality all is possible. It’s a special game, it’s tough to play this sort of game, it means more. We know that it means to our fans this game.”

Arsenal are now 18 games unbeaten in all competitions having not lost since their defeat at Stamford Bridge in mid-August.

Sunday’s meeting pits two very impressive managers up against each other with Unai Emery in charge of the home side.

Neither team likes to sit back and defend, either, so it should be an exciting game for the fans.
