Sporting Lisbon will allow Viktor Gyokeres to leave for a fee of around โฌ70m (ยฃ60m) with add-ons this summer.
Gyokeres is one of the most coveted centre-forwards in Europe following a prolific period in Portugal. The Swedish striker has scored 90 goals in 96 games for Sporting since his arrival from Coventry City in 2023.

His performances have attracted interest from leading clubs across Europe, including Arsenal and Chelsea. Manchester United have also been named as suitors, with Ruben Amorim having worked with Gyokeres in the Portuguese capital. A number nine is a focus for Manchester United in the summer window.
Gyokeres has a release clause of โฌ100m (ยฃ85.7m) in his contract at Theย Estรกdio Josรฉ Alvalade, but Sporting are prepared to allow him to leave for a lower price. The Portuguese champions will not stand in Gyokeres’ way if an offer of around โฌ65m to โฌ70m arrives this summer.
On Friday evening, Gyokeres hit a hat-trick in Sporting’s 3-1 win over Moreirense as the club stayed on course to defend their Primeira Liga crown. That treble took the striker 47 goals in all competitions this season. He’s netted 34 times in just 27 league starts in 2024/25, averaging a Primeira Liga goal every 71.8 minutes.
Speaking to Sport TV, Gyokeres was coy on his future: โNo one can predict what will happen, we enjoy the moment.”
Asked whether there was an agreement with Sporting to let him leave for lower than his release clause, the forward added: “I canโt say anything about that.”
