Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Alexis Sanchez will miss today’s game against Tottenham Hotspur due to an injury.
The former Arsenal winger picked up a minor hamstring injury in last Saturday’s FA Cup win over Reading at Old Trafford, although he did make the trip for Manchester United’s warm weather training camp in Dubai this week.
However, the Chilean did not make the journey from Manchester to London for this afternoon’s visit to Wembley to face third-place Spurs, and Solskjaer has revealed that the United number 7 wasn’t quite fit enough to be involved today, but should be ready to return to action next week
“He is not ready yet. Hopefully, or I think so, he will be in training when we get back. Maybe on Wednesday he will be in full training,” Solskjaer told MUTV.
“He is just having a hard time of getting rid of it. Maybe next week he could be involved.”
Manchester United play Brighton at Old Trafford next Saturday.
