Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has refused to discuss the club’s links to Jack Grealish following the midfielder’s stand-out performance in Aston Villa’s draw at Old Trafford.
The Aston Villa captain starred as Dean Smith’s side secured a deserved point on Sunday following a 2-2 draw, opening the scoring with a stunning strike to put the Midlands side ahead.
The 24-year-old was a constant threat throughout the contest and his recent performances have seen him linked with a move away from Villa Park, including to Manchester United, who are believed to be interested in adding midfield creativity to their under-performing squad.
No English midfielder has directly contributed to more goals than Grealish this season (5), though Solskjaer refused to comment on speculation that United could make a move for the player ahead of the January transfer window.

“I can’t talk too much about other teams’ players if they are Man United calibre or targets,” Solskjaer said when asked about the Aston Villa captain.
“But [it’s a] fantastic goal. I think he’s hit one of those corners that I’ve hit a couple of times.
“It was a great finish but then again we should defend better and show him down the left.
“But what a goal and he played a good game, definitely.”
Solskjaer predictably insists Man United will ‘learn’ from 2-2 draw with Aston Villa
