Manchester United manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer believes “exciting” talent Marcus Rashford can become as good as Totteham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
Former United striker Solskjaer, now interim manager at Old Trafford, clearly has faith in Rashford who has six league goals to his name this season.
“We can talk about Harry Kane and his class. Marcus has the potential to get up there also,” Solskjaer told a pre-match press conference.
“He is very exciting to work with and can become a top, top striker. He’s got frightening pace. He’s become stronger and can hold the ball up for us,”
The 21-year-old England international has excelled under the guidance of Solskjaer, playing in all four league games since his appointment in December. The academy graduate has repaid his managers faith with three goals in those fixtures and has been playing with more confidence and freedom over the past few weeks.
Manchester United go to Wembley on Sunday to face Spurs in the first real test for the club, following their decision to sack Mourinho and bring in former Cardiff boss Solskjaer. They will hope Rashford can continue his excellent form as they look to come away from London will all three points.
