Manchester United could be boosted by the returns of Anthony Martial, Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera for their clash with Arsenal this weekend.
Caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed he expects the trio to be available for the fixture at The Emirates, with Eric Bailly also fit having limped off in the 3-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
“Eric’s fine,” Solskjaer said in his pre-match press conference.
“Anthony [Martial] will be available and, hopefully, we’ll have Nemanja [Matic] and/or Ander [Herrera] ready as well, so we’re looking better for it. They just need to have another couple of days’ training with the team.
Paul Pogba is also set to return having missed the midweek win in Paris through suspension, though the midfielder did travel with the squad to France.
“Paul was over there training with us and in the dressing room and the meetings, so he wanted to be a part of that game,” Solskjaer added.
“It’s great that he had a couple of days off after Southampton, so it was the least he could do!”
United head into Sunday’s game just a point ahead of Unai Emery’s side, with the clash potentially having a huge impact on the race for Champions League qualification.
