Manchester United fans were given an injury update today by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of their game with Brighton this weekend.
It was a mostly positive report from United’s interim manager with players like Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo continuing their road to recovery while Alexis Sanchez has returned to full training.
“There’s not many issues, I think just small niggles as there always is at this point of the season,” The Norwegian told his pre-match press conference.
“Chris (Smalling) and Marcos (Rojo) have just started running lightly so they’re not fit yet, Alexis (Sanchez) has trained all week so hopefully he’ll be available, and Felli is the long-term one that’s out. He’ll be out for a few weeks.”
With Marouane Fellaini now United’s only long-term injury concern, the Old Trafford club are in prime position to push on in their quest for a top-four Premier League finish this season.
Manchester United look to be keeping their chequebook closed this month, so Solskjaer will be hoping they can avoid any further serious injuries between now and May.
