Solskjaer insists Manchester United can progress to Champions League quarter finals

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not given up hope of Manchester United qualifying for the Champions League quarter-finals against PSG this evening.

United go into tonight’s game at the Parc des Princes knowing they will have to rewrite the history books to book their place in the last eight, with no side ever having overturned a 2-0 home defeat.

However, as has been the case all the way through his tenure at Manchester United, and despite having none of his first choice midfielders available, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is remaining positive about his side’s chances.

“It is a difficult task but we can do it,” Solskjaer said in his pre-match press conference.

“Obviously, we need the first goal and need to stay in the game. If there’s half an hour left, and only one goal in it, anything can happen.

”We need a good plan. It needs to be put in place. We need to perform on the night, of course, as they are a team full of quality.”
