Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hailed Manchester United’s ‘very exciting’ attacking options and believes his trio of forwards have room for further development in the coming seasons.
Manchester United travel to league leaders Liverpool this weekend in relatively confident mood following back-to-back wins, whilst their prospects have been boosted by the performances of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and teenager Mason Greenwood in recent weeks.
The club’s front three have now scored 39 goals in all competitions after each finding the net against Norwich this weekend, one more than this weekend’s opponent’s formidable forward line of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
Solskjaer admits his options are bursting with potential, and is hopeful his side have the firepower to cause problems when they travel to the home of their Merseyside rivals on Sunday.
“We can see them three – and we’ve got them on long contracts – developing into a very exciting front three,” Solskjaer said at his pre-match press conference.
“I was here with Cristiano Ronaldo, Carlos Tevez, Wayne Rooney – that’s what we want as Man United supporters.
“You want to see them express themselves and go to places like Anfield and put fear into their defenders.”
