Eddie Howe revealed that Bournemouth’s £19 million signing Dominic Solanke could play some part in their fixture with Cardiff City this weekend.
The Cherries travel to play Cardiff in Wales on Saturday evening in the Premier League as they look for just their fourth away win of the season.
“We obviously had Dominic [Solanke] on the bench on Wednesday, so he is available to play,” Howe said at his pre-match press conference.
“I wouldn’t say he’s fully match-fit, but we’re pleased to have him available for selection.
Howe also spoke of Tyrone Mings’ loan move to Aston Villa and hopes he can progress due to the extra playing time he is likely to get in the Championship.
“Tyrone’s move to Aston Villa is a great opportunity for him to go and play football,” said Howe.
“He’s been unlucky down the years and we look forward to monitoring his progress for the remainder of the season.”
Howe’s team are in great form at the moment having beaten West Ham and Chelsea in their last two games. The 4-0 victory over Chelsea in midweek was a particular highlight of Bournemouth’s season so far.
