Six Premier League clubs in the race to sign exciting 14-year-old goalscorer

Six Premier League clubs are in the race to sign 14-year-old goalscorer Elye Wahi according to reports in France.

The youngster scored an incredible 89 goals for the Caen U14 and U15 sides last year, and has now been promoted to the club’s U17 side. He scored a brace for the U17’s in a 5-2 defeat against French giants PSG, despite the youngster claiming he was carrying a slight calf injury during the game.

His story is similar to that of current Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante. Wahi hails from the same Paris suburb of Courcouronnes as the France international, who also came through the ranks at Caen before getting his move to the Premier League.

According to Le Parisien, no fewer than six Premier League clubs are interested in signing Wahi, who is unable to make a move until he is 16. Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Southampton and Tottenham are all keeping an eye on the youngster.

Despite his tender age, Wahi is a powerful player, standing at 5″10′, weighing 72kg and has been called by some as the ‘next Mbappe’.

Mbappe made the £166m move from Monaco to PSG this summer on an initial season long loan after scoring 26 goals for the French Champions last season.
