Euro 2024 came to an end last weekend and the short break between the tournament and the Premier League season will be dominated by one topic – transfers.
Plenty of players placed themselves in the shop window in Germany and we’ve looked at six Euro 2024 stars we hope make Premier League transfers this summer.
Nico Williams
Nico Williams was a top target for Barcelona before a ball had been kicked this summer but the winger’s sparkling performances for Spain have started a multi-team transfer tussle.
Barcelona remain favourites to sign the 22-year-old and the cash-strapped Catalans are insistent they have the financial muscle to do so, though there’s a collection of Premier League teams waiting in the wings.
Liverpool like the look of Williams, while Chelsea, Arsenal, and Aston Villa all reportedly want to throw their hats into the ring. A release clause of around ยฃ46m looks like a snip based on his summer showings, where Williams produced a man-of-the-match performance in Spain’s final win over England.

Ferdi Kadฤฑoฤlu
Turkey took the title of neutral’s favourites at Euro 2024 with Vincenzo Montella’s adventurous team reaching the quarter-finals. Perhaps no player embodied the cavalier approach of the Crescent-Stars more than Ferdi Kadฤฑoฤlu, who covered every blade of grass on his regular raids forward from full-back.
At the time of Turkey’s exit he led Euro 2024 for tackles and ranked second for duels won, while only Lamine Yamal and Joshua Kimmich created more chances (12) than Kadฤฑoฤlu all summer. Manchester United and Arsenal have been linked with the Dutch-born defender, who is comfortable in either full-back role and might earn himself a move to one of Europe’s top five leagues this summer.

A Fenerbahce fan favourite, he has been valued at around ยฃ30m.
Giorgi Mamardashvili
Giorgi Mamardashvili performed heroics in goal as tournament debutants Georgia reached the knockout rounds. He led the tournament for saves (30) and goals prevented according to the quality of shots faced (4.1), enhancing a reputation that already had him billed as one of La Liga’s best up-and-coming goalkeepers.
Newcastle were heavily linked with the Mamardashvili before the tournament, who has three seasons of senior football at Valencia behind him and at 23 still appears to have levels to improve.
Based on the quality of shots he faced, Giorgi Mamardashvili prevented more goals than any other GK at both #EURO2024 and in LaLiga last season.

He’s certainly increased his asking price as the commanding last line of defence for Georgia.
Dani Olmo
Dani Olmo has regularly been linked with a transfer to one of Europe’s elite in recent windows and the speculation looks set to increase this summer.
Olmo was a difference-maker in Spain’s triumphant campaign at Euro 2024, breaking into the team following an injury to Pedri and seizing his chance. He became the first Spaniard to score in three consecutive knockout round games at a major tournament, earning a share of the Golden Boot.

A multi-functional midfielder who habitually finds pockets of space in the final third, Olmo can be signed this summer for a fee of โฌ60m (ยฃ51m) due to a release clause in his contract at RB Leipzig. While hardly an insignificant cost, it appears fair value for a player who has proven he belongs on the highest stage.
Christoph Baumgartner
Austria entertained at Euro 2024 as Ralf Rangnick-ball saw the side top a group containing France and the Netherlands.
Austria came unstuck against Turkey in the Round of 16 but their adventurous team certainly made an impression. Christoph Baumgartner epitomised the all-action Austrians and made his mark with a goal and assist across four appearances.
The RB Leipzig midfielder scored five times in five appearances for the national team leading up to the tournament and continued that form, while ranking among the Euro 2024 leaders for pressures.
Well-tuned in a high-intensity side, the winger could be a shrewd signing for Premier League clubs after an underwhelming first season in Leipzig that saw the 24-year-old make just 11 league starts.
Niclas Fullkrug
Niclas Fullkrug enhanced his reputation as Germany’s game-changer from the bench with two goals for the host nation at Euro 2024.
A late-bloomer on the international stage after making his debut for Germany at 29, Fullkrug has since emerged as a brilliant Plan B option. He has scored 13 goals in 21 caps and has averaged a goal every 57 minutes for Germany in tournament football.
Despite a decent debut season at Borussia Dortmund that brought 12 goals and eight assists in the Bundesliga, the 31-year-old’s place is under threat following the arrival of Serhou Guirassy from Stuttgart.

Former Scotland striker Ally McCoist believes the German would be an astute addition for an English club.
“The one I’d like to see (in the Premier League) is Fullkrug. I have no doubt he would score goals in the top flight in England. I like him,” McCoist told talkSPORT.
“I don’t like using the term old-fashioned centre-forward. But he’s a proper centre-forward.
“He brings people into play, can go in behind, is powerful, attacks things in the box. I think he’d be a tremendous signing for somebody.”
