Marco Silva has said that he is confident that Everton are on an upward trajectory, despite being held to a 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace this afternoon.
After an impressive start to life at Goodison Park, Everton‘s form under Silva took a nosedive just before the turn of the year, with the Blues winning just three out of 11 Premier League games between mid-December and mid-February.
Since then though, the Toffees have been on a much-improved run, beating the likes of Chelsea, West Ham and Arsenal, before the impressive 4-0 hammering of Manchester United at Goodison Park last weekend.
Despite dominating today’s game at Selhurst Park, Marco Silva’s side were held to a goalless draw by Crystal Palace, but speaking after the game, the Portuguese said that he wants his side to maintain their recent style of play.
“We have tried everything to win the match. We dominated the game, we created chances and had two balls off the post and a fantastic save by the goalkeeper,” Silva told Sky Sports.
“We did more than enough to win the match but we weren’t clinical. We didn’t give them chances.
“The most important thing for me is that we keep playing our model and offensive football.
“We are improving, there is no doubt about that.”
