Marco Silva insists that his Everton side will not be just hoping to sneak a draw at Chelsea on Sunday.
Speaking at his press conference at Finch Farm, Silva said his Everton team always go and try to get the most out of a game, no matter who the opposition.
“We’ve performed well in big away games so far but not achieved the results. It is our way to go everywhere and try to achieve a good result,” Silva said.
Everton face an in-form Chelsea side who have made the best possible start under new manager, Maurizio Sarri.
Silvas’ team have shown some good form over recent weeks and he seems to have settled on his preferred starting eleven. Unfortunately, he will need to bring a new starter in at centre-back to replace Kurt Zouma who can’t play against Chelsea as they are his parent club.
Yerry Mina, the Colombian international and summer signing from Barcelona, is expected to start beside Michael Keane at the heart of The Toffees’ defence at Stamford Bridge.
Silva was also quizzed if he and his team would be watching the Tony Bellew boxing match on Saturday night. It’s well known that Bellew is a massive Everton fan.
“I met Tony Bellew last week. He is a huge Evertonian and, of course, we wish him luck and will be supporting him. We will be watching from the team hotel!” Silva added.
