Sheffield Wednesday boss Jos Luhukay has given his side a boost by confirming that Barry Bannan and Steven Fletcher will be available for this weekend’s game against Middlesbrough.
The Scottish duo had recently been out with injuries, but both have returned to first team training this week.
“Steven Fletcher has trained the last week normal, with no negative reaction after the game so we are happy with that.’’ He told his pre-match press conference.
“There is also no problem with Barry Bannan, who has trained in all the training sessions and of course that is a big positive for us.”
Wednesday have won 5 of their 12 fixtures so far this season, and will be pleased to have the duo back against high flying Boro.
Tony Pulis’ men are currently 4th, but Wednesday know a win could see them leapfrog their opponents, and they will be hoping the Scottish duo’s return could help them achieve just that.
