Sesko stats shows summer signing settling at Man United

The Premier League can notoriously be a rough ride for new signings, but Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko has shown signs of settling after an underwhelming start.

Sesko scored the second in Manchester United’s 3-2 win over Liverpool at Old Trafford, bundling over a contentious effort at Old Trafford.

The Slovenian striker’s goal was his 11th in the Premier League since arriving from RB Leipzig last summer.

It’s a respectable haul from the €74m recruit, who at just 22 has underlined his potential during his debut campaign. After a stuttering start, Sesko has come alive since the change of manager at Manchester United.

He scored only two Premier League goals before Ruben Amorim was sacked in January, before exploding in output under Michael Carrick.

Sesko has now scored nine Premier League goals since Carrick’s appointment as interim manager, with no player in the division having scored more league goals in that time.
