Serie A clubs Napoli and Roma are interested in signing Manchester United full back Matteo Darmian.
The Italian moved to Old Trafford last summer after being signed by Louis van Gaal, but early indications from the 2016/17 season suggest that he is not fancied by new United boss Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese boss utilised Antonio Valencia at right-back during the majority of the clubs pre-season preparations and continued that trend during the Community Shield final and the opening game of the Premier League season on Sunday.
The Ecuador international has been reinvigorated under Mourinho leaving Darmian out in the cold.
However the Italian international could be given a chance to move back to his homeland as Serie A giants Roma and Napoli are interested in making a move for the defender, who can play at both right-back and left-back.
