David Seaman believes Arsenal boss Unai Emery should drop Petr Cech for the Europa League final.
Veteran goalkeeper Cech has played throughout Arsenal’s European campaign, with Bernd Leno having been preferred for the club’s Premier League fixtures.
Cech will retire following the final, having been linked with a return to former club Chelsea as sporting director.
Arsenal ironically meet Chelsea in the final in Baku on May 29, and former Arsenal goalkeeper Seaman has urged Emery to play his strongest side for Arsenal’s first European final in over a decade.
“I know Cech has played all the games but in a final like that, especially against Chelsea,” Seaman told talkSPORT.
“Arsenal need to win this game to get into the Champions League. It’s a huge game and worth millions to the club.
“So, for me, you play your strongest team and if that means Leno plays then that’s what I would do.
“I know Arsene Wenger did it with me. Richard Wright played all the FA Cup games and then played me in the final.”
