Morgan Schneiderlin has praised Everton teammate Idrissa Gana Gueye’s recent performances, describing him as ‘amazing’.
The Senegal international has become a firm fan’s favourite at Goodison Park since arriving in a £7.1m deal from Aston Villa in 2016.
Gueye, who attracted the interest of French champions Paris Saint-Germain in January, has shone in Marco Silva’s side this season completing more tackles than any other player in the Premier League.
Speaking of his fellow Everton midfielder, Morgan Schneiderlin was full of praise for the 29-year-old, saying it is a ‘pleasure’ to play alongside the Senegal international.
“Gana is just amazing in what he does,” Schneiderlin said to the official Everton website.
“In games and in training, he has added a new dimension to his game. Before you could see his main point was getting the ball back, but now he likes to drive forward with the ball and take people on. He is using all his qualities now.
“You can see he is full of confidence, his passing is very good and the way he recovers possession, too.
“We get on well on the pitch and off the pitch. It is a pleasure for me to play alongside him.”
