Maurizio Sarri was damning in his assessment of his Chelsea team’s performance Saturday as they lost 3-1 to Spurs at Wembley.
Sarri watched on as Tottenham Hotspur created countless opportunities and probably should have won by more in the end.
Speaking after the game, the Italian was not pulling any punches when discussing the game.
“I am disappointed because we played very badly. I think we played very badly in all directions – physically, mentally, technically and tactically,” he told BBC’s Match of the Day.
“I knew we had some problems and with this performance today it was clear to everybody we have problems to solve.
“I think in the last three or four matches we have started not really very well.”
Former Everton midfielder Ross Barkley was introduced in the second half and seemed to have a positive influence on the game
However, when Sarri was asked if he was impressed by the Scouser’s performance, the ex-Napoli boss decided to lay the boot into every Chelsea player: “No. Today I didn’t like anybody.”
