Sarri insists it time for Hazard to decide his future

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has insisted it is time a decision is made regarding Eden Hazard’s future at the club.

The Belgian international has 18 months left on his current contract and has regularly been linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Hazard scored both goals in Chelsea’s 2-1 win at Watford on Boxing Day, his 100th and 101st goals for the club, and afterwards spoke about becoming a ‘legend’ at Stamford Bridge.

Sarri has insisted a decision must soon be made regarding the 27-year-old’s future, with his 10-goal top scorer’s contract set to enter it’s final year next summer.

“I think we have to solve the problem. If we want to plan the future, we have to solve this problem,” Sarri said at his pre-match press conference on Friday.

“I don’t know [what Hazard is thinking], but I think that it’s time to decide.”

Chelsea and Hazard travel to face London rivals Crystal Palace on Sunday, looking to maintain their position in the Premier League’s top four.
