Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has hinted he will rotate his squad for Monday night’s visit of West Ham.
The Italian handed rare starts to the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson-Odoi for Wednesday’s win over Brighton, with the duo impressing as Chelsea ran out convincing 3-0 winners at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea travel to face Czech side Slavia Prague in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final on Thursday, and Sarri has suggested he will rotate his squad to deal with the club’s busy schedule.
‘Of course it will be difficult, but I have to consider in this moment of the season we need to change,’ Sarri said at his pre-match press conference.
‘We have played 51 matches, and in the last part of the season I want 20 players completely involved in our targets.
‘I don’t know [if Callum Hudson-Odoi will start]. I have to decide who is going to play against West Ham and who is going to play against Slavia.’
