Ross Barkley has attracted public praise for his recent performances from Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri.
The Englishman has now scored in the Blues’ last three Premier League outings, netting most recently against Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday.
“Barkley is doing very well. In this period, he is playing really very well.’’ Sarri told his post-match press conference.
The Liverpool-born midfielder was bought by Chelsea in January this year from Everton but struggled under Antonio Conte last season.
However, he seems to have found a new leash of life under Sarri and the Italian coach is delighted with the 24-year-old’s progress.
“He has improved very much in the defensive phase. He has improved his physical condition. Last season was very difficult with a very serious injury.’’ Sarri added.
“He is a very good player from the technical point of view. Now I think Ross is complete.”
