Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has confirmed that talented young attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi will not join the Blues army of young players that will be loaned out next season, and will instead be part of his first-team plans.
England youth international Hudson-Odoi has long been heralded as one of the best youngsters on Chelsea’s books, and the 17-year-old was handed his first-team debut by former Blues coach Antonio Conte last season.
Hudson-Odoi has made the best of his opportunities in pre-season, putting in a series of dazzling displays, which has prompted Sarri to confirm that he will be a part of his plans for the upcoming campaign, with the Italian coach also predicting a bright future ahead for the youngster.
“He will stay with us for all the season,” Sarri said in his post match press conference following Wednesday’s pre-season penalty shoot out loss to Premier League rivals Arsenal yesterday.
“He is a very young player. We have to wait. In the future he will be a very, very strong player.”
Chelsea begin their Premier League campaign away to Huddersfield Town August 11.
