Sarri demands a ‘reaction’ from his players after Spurs defeat

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has demanded a reaction from his players after they performed poorly during their 3-1 defeat to Spurs last weekend.

Going into last Saturday’s game Chelsea were the only side in Europe’s top five leagues to remain unbeaten, but the Blues were completely out fought and out thought by their London rivals from start to finish.

Sarri admitted that his players showed a lack of determination against Spurs and he is expecting a response from his team against PAOK tonight in the Europa League and in the West London Derby against Fulham on Sunday.

“But we lost a match after 110 days I think. So the team did well generally, but we have to understand why we played against Spurs without the determination, it is not normal,” Sarri told the press ahead of tonight’s game.

“I want to see a reaction tomorrow and on Sunday.

“I want to see we have learned from our mistakes.”
