Leroy Sane has said that he and his Manchester City teammates are really enjoying playing together after they beat a sorry Southampton 6-1 at the Etihad.
The Premier League champions were at their sumptuous best this afternoon, opening up a 3-0 lead inside the opening 18 minutes thanks to an own goal from Wesley Hoedt, and strikes from Man City legends Sergio Aguero and David Silva.
While they conceded a goal to a first-half penalty, they would go on to score three more goals, two from Raheem Sterling before Leroy Sane added a sixth in injury time.
Speaking after the game, the German winger said that ‘the whole team was really strong’ in what was the biggest scoreline of the current Premier League season.
“I was lucky at the end with the goals, I tried to score in the game, but the whole team was really strong today,” Sane told the BBC.
“You can see we’re keeping going with how we play from last season, we enjoy playing together. It was important to be top today.”
