Jadon Sancho is reported to have been left ‘upset and confused’ by his recent treatment at Borussia Dortmund, amid speculation linking the England international with a move to the Premier League.
Sancho is currently enduring a difficult period with the Bundesliga side, with the teenager having been dropped for a crucial meeting with Borussia Monchengladbach and fined after reporting back late from international duty, whilst he was also somewhat humiliatingly substituted just 36 minutes into the club’s 4-0 defeat to Bayern Munich earlier this month.
Reports have now emerged that the winger feels scapegoated for the club’s current struggles, Borussia Dortmund having dropped to sixth in the Bundesliga following an inconsistent run of form.
According to The Athletic, Sancho feels he has been unfairly treated at the club this season and his growing unrest is likely to act as encouragement for a wealth of potential suitors.
There is a growing feeling that this could now be Sancho’s final season in Germany, with a bidding war for a player rated at around £100m likely should he become available for transfer.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are also monitoring the player’s situation, whilst former club Manchester City are also likely to be keeping a close eye on developments.
It is understood that Sancho will not agitate for a move away in January, though a summer departure looks increasingly probable following recent events.
