Alexis Sanchez’s unhappy spell at Manchester United could be set to end in the January transfer window.
The Chilean has struggled since making the move from Arsenal last winer and has grown frustrated by a lack of playing opportunities this season.
Sanchez arrived at Old Trafford last January in a swap deal with Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but has failed to recapture the form that once made him one of the Premier League‘s stand-out players.
Having fallen out of favour after scoring just three league goals since arriving, The London Evening Standard are reporting the 29-year-old’s time in Manchester may be about to end.
Sanchez is believed to have become an isolated figure in the dressing room and has been linked with French champions Paris Saint-Germain. The stumbling block may prove his £400,000-a-week wages as he seeks an exit.
The forward was omitted from Manchester United‘s starting line-up for the 3-1 derby defeat to Manchester City last weekend.
