Sanchez pictured in Man Utd shirt with transfer now imminent

Pictures of Alexis Sanchez wearing a Manchester United have emerged online as his move to Old Trafford will be announced in the coming hours.

It has been one the biggest transfer stories of the January transfer window, but after weeks and months of speculation, Alexis Sanchez’s move from Arsenal is expected to be announced in the coming hours.

The player posted a video of himself boarding a private jet on his Instagram account, before being spotted arriving at Manchester United’s Carrington training ground just a few hour later.

During his time at the training ground he completed his medical, although did not get the chance to meet his new teammates, who have all been afforded two days off following Saturday’s victory against Burnley.

Then, late on Sunday evening, images emerged of Sanchez in a full Manchester United kit, wearing the famous number 7 shirt.

The number 7 is THE shirt at Old Trafford, having been worn by club greats such as George Best, Eric Cantona, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo.

It has however had a disappointing spell of owners in the last few years with Antonio Valencia, Michael Owen, Angel di Maria and Memphis Depay all failing to shine under the weight of its glorious history. United fans will be hoping Sanchez can start a new successful chapter.
