Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez finally looks set set to join up with his team-mates on their pre-season tour after being granted a Visa to enter the United States.
Sanchez was initially refused entry in to America due to the suspended prison sentence he received in Spain for tax evasion in 2016.
However, a Manchester United spokesperson has now confirmed that he is about to link up with Jose Mourinho’s squad stateside:
“Sánchez’s issue is all sorted and he will fly out to the USA very shortly.”
The Chile international completed a high profile transfer to United from Arsenal in January. However, apart from one excellent performance in the FA Cup semi-final against Spurs, the 29-year-old has looked a shadow of the player he did during his time at the Emirates.
Although United remain optimistic that after a break from international football due to Chile’s non involvement at this summers World Cup, and a full pre-season with his new team-mates, Sanchez will be able to rediscover his best form.
Jose Mourinho’s side kick off their pre-season fixtures at 3am on Friday morning against Club America.
